StreetSnap is a web-based application designed to assist local councils in identifying and eradicating graffiti. This application is solely intended for the use of council staff, not the general public. StreetSnap enables the photographic documentation, labeling, and commentary of graffiti, enabling targeted intervention.
Upon establishing a StreetSnap account, users must supply their name, email address, organizational details, and job title. This information is collected to validate user identities and ensure that they are genuine and authorized personnel.
StreetSnap safeguards the collected information by storing it on secure servers equipped with a comprehensive range of security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Industry-standard encryption techniques are employed to safeguard user data from unauthorized access.
StreetSnap solely shares user data with authorized StreetSnap users. This includes fellow council staff, as well as employees of other councils collaborating with your respective council to address graffiti eradication, the Police, other public sector bodies, and Swansea University and its subsidiaries.
StreetSnap may also share data with third-party service providers engaged in supporting the StreetSnap service. These third-party service providers are bound by non-disclosure agreements, prohibiting them from disclosing sensitive user information to any third parties.
StreetSnap retains user data for as long as their account remains active. In the event a user deactivates their account, StreetSnap will retain their data for a reasonable period in accordance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Users retain the right to access and rectify their data stored by StreetSnap. This can be achieved by logging into their StreetSnap account and accessing their profile settings. Additionally, users can request a copy of their data by contacting StreetSnap at streetsnap@swansea.ac.uk.

Users can request the deletion of their data from StreetSnap. StreetSnap is obliged to erase data as soon as it is no longer required for the provision of the StreetSnap service.
